Privacy Policy
Effective date: March 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how MIG Media Company ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use Appointment Management Service (the "Service"). This includes situations where you provide your mobile phone number so we can send appointment confirmations and related updates.
Public website: http://localhost:8000
1. Information We Collect
- Contact details: name, email address, and mobile phone number.
- Appointment details: selected services, staff/employee, date/time, notes you provide, and booking reference codes.
- Account and business details: when staff/business users create and manage accounts (as applicable).
- Technical data: device/browser information and basic usage logs for security and troubleshooting.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
- Provide and operate the Service (booking, rescheduling, cancellations, check-in, and customer support).
- Send transactional notifications (email/SMS) related to your appointments.
- Improve reliability, prevent fraud/abuse, and maintain security.
- Comply with applicable laws and carrier/industry messaging rules.
3. SMS / Mobile Messaging (Twilio) Disclosure
If you provide your mobile number, we may send transactional text messages such as appointment confirmations, reminders, changes, cancellations, and check-in instructions.
- Message frequency: varies based on your appointments and requests.
- Message and data rates: may apply.
- Opt-out: reply STOP to unsubscribe from SMS messages.
- Help: reply HELP for help, or contact us at support@migmediacompany.com.
- Sender identification: our messages identify the business/platform as the sender where required.
If you opt out of SMS, you may not receive text-based appointment confirmations or reminders. We may continue to communicate via other channels (for example email) where available and appropriate.
We use Twilio as our SMS delivery provider. Twilio may process phone numbers and message metadata (and, depending on routing, telecommunications providers may also process data) to deliver messages.
4. Consent and Opt-In
We send SMS only when there is an appropriate basis to do so, such as when you provide your number as part of an appointment flow and the messages are related to that appointment, or where you otherwise explicitly opt in. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP.
5. How We Share Information
We may share information only as needed to operate the Service, including:
- Service providers: SMS delivery (Twilio), email delivery, hosting, analytics, and security vendors.
- Legal and safety reasons: when required by law, to respond to valid legal requests, or to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your mobile number with third parties for their own marketing.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide the Service, meet legal/accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We may also retain limited logs for security and compliance.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8. Your Choices and Rights
- You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information (subject to legal and operational limits).
- You may opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP (note: you may no longer receive SMS confirmations/reminders).
9. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not intended for children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate steps.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
